Top 5 Songs: 9-23-2019

Hello and happy Fall! I’ve finally got another list of songs that inspired me enough to share them with you. Here they are – let me know what you think in the comments!

“Dreamin’ You Up”, Melissa Villaseñor

I know this song is a year old, and I know who Melissa Villaseñor is, but I did not hear of this song until the video came out. This is such a good song! It has addictive throwback vibes and an amazing Law of Attraction-type theme, which is so rare and so needed. This is one song that is guaranteed to make you smile, dance and smile again

3. “If You Need Me,” Julia Michaels

I have many favorite Julia Michaels songs, but this one is different from any other song I have heard her sing, which makes it extremely interesting to me. It has a kind of OneRepublic, “Counting Stars” vibe to it. Have a listen!

4. “Memories,” Maroon 5

This is one of those songs where I’m not sure if we’re talking about death, or break-ups, or just more focusing on memories in general – but it is fantastic no matter what, and I was happily surprised to see a new track from one of my all-time favorite bands. I tend to think of it as a remembering-those-who-have-past song, which is sad – but in a very good and somehow catchy way (without being distasteful).

5. “She’d Say,” Andy Grammer

This is such a moving, emotional and catchy song with such a wonderful message. The video is very sweet, as well. I have enjoyed a variety of Andy Grammer songs over the years, but this one is so important and sentimental.

What do you think of these tunes? Have any suggestions? Leave me a comment!
