Happy Spring! It’s time for me to share some of the songs I’ve discovered recently that have been inspiring me with you all again. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!
1. “Love Of Your Life,” Jack Savoretti
This is a very pretty and serious song about how some things—namely, love—are worth waiting for. It gives me the best kind of throwback vibes with a certain type of ’90s sound that you should check out for yourself.
2. “Heart So Big,” Matoma & A R I Z O N A
This is a very sweet song. Its lyrics are touching and it has the perfect type of dancey sound that I’ve come to expect from A R I Z O N A, one of my favorite bands of all time.
3. “Wings of Stone,” Adam Levine
This is an original song from the new film The Bubble on Netflix. I am always excited for any new Adam Levine or Maroon 5 release as a long-time Marooner, but this song was especially exciting with its unique, almost rock-style sound that reminds me of Maroon 5’s early roots as Kara’s Flowers and the edgy sound they created at the time.
4. “Clarity,” Justin Jesso
This song isn’t as new as the others on the list, but it’s one I really enjoy so I wanted to share it. It has an infectious pop sound that’s typical in a good way and is one of my go-to’s for exercising when I need an energy boost. Adam Friedman co-wrote, so I’m happy about that, as well. 🙂
5. “Better Off Now,” Vox Rea Feat. Frederick
This song isn’t new at all, but I still felt that it deserved to be on this list because it’s a masterpiece that everyone should listen to. I love duets, but this song makes perfect use of one. The music itself is as touching as the lyrics, turning what could be a typical breakup song into something theatrical and magical. Please note that Vox Rea was formerly known as the Katherines if you run into both names in any online searches.
